Jonathan Haggerty is looking forward to fighting in front of American fans at ONE on Prime Video 4 after months of delay and uncertainty.
Expected to compete in two major events this year, at ONE 157 in a ONE flyweight Muay Thai Grand Prix quarterfinal matchup and at ONE on Prime Video 1 in a tournament alternate bout against Amir Naseri, Haggerty suffered back-to-back illnesses which prevented him from participating in either match.
Heading into his bantamweight debut against Russian striker Vladimir Kuzmin on November 18, Haggerty shared his thoughts concerning his delayed US primetime debut with The MMA Super-Fan:
“We saved [the best] ‘til now. The time is now and I’m ready and I’m excited to put on a show for everyone. I’m excited to just come back on the scene.”

Feeling reborn in a new weight class at 145lbs, Jonathan Haggerty is indeed excited to feel the energy of the crowd when he makes his bantamweight debut against Vladimir Kuzmin.
Winner of the Road to ONE 4 in kickboxing, Vladimir Kuzmin is a powerful counter-striker. Utilizing everything in his arsenal, from front kicks to hard punch combinations, he has the ability to destabilize opponents while mounting the damage.
Suffering a shocking loss in his Muay Thai debut against Muangthai PK Saenchai by a narrow margin this past July, it goes without saying that he will look to bounce back against Jonathan Haggerty.
Jonathan Haggerty says there’s still unfinished business with Rodtang at flyweight
Despite competing at bantamweight now, Jonathan Haggerty believes there’s some unfinished business with Rodtang at flyweight.
Haggerty fought Rodtang twice, in August 2019 and in January 2020, for the ONE flyweight Muay Thai world title. Currently on the wrong end of a 2-0 record in their thrilling saga, Haggerty still disputes his decision loss in their first meeting at ONE: Dawn of Heroes.
Feeling like they’re tied 1-1, the Englishman, in the same interview, said he could go down to flyweight face Rodtang in a trilogy match to reclaim his belt:
“I feel like I dominated the division a little bit, I was top dog for a long while. Even like the last fight with Taiki Naito, nobody’s handled him the way that I did. Yeah, I can say there’s unfinished business with Rodtang.”
