Jonathan Haggerty is ready to deliver fans another iconic moment when he returns to the ring for a ONE world title showdown with Nong-O Hama.

On Friday, April 22, ‘The General’ will attempt to capture his second ONE world championship in as many divisions when he challenges the reigning ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world champion Nong-O at the legendary Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Thailand.

“Iconic,” Haggerty posted on Instagram. “I can’t wait to be back in that @onechampionship ring again!”

Jonathan Haggerty earned his opportunity to challenge for the bantamweight world title after scoring three straight victories inside the circle. After defeating Taiki Naito and Mongkolpetch Petchyindee in the flyweight division, ‘The General’ moved up to bantamweight where he bested Russian striker Vladimir Kuzmin at ONE on Prime Video 4 in November.

With victories over current ONE strawweight Muay Thai titleholder Joseph Lasiri and the legendary Sam-A Gaiyanghadao, Jonathan Haggerty has squared off with some of the absolute best in the world, but he’ll face a nearly impossible task at ONE Fight Night 9.

Backed by 265 career wins, Nong-O Hama has established himself as one of the absolute best strikers in the world. Through 10 fights under the ONE Championship banner, no man has managed to defeat him.
