The United Kingdom has become a hotbed for martial arts talent over the years, and one of the best talents to emerge from the UK has been two-sport world champion Jonathan Haggerty. The reigning ONE bantamweight Muay Thai and kickboxing kingpin certainly had a meteoric rise this past year and is now considered not just one of the best strikers in the country, but perhaps the entire world.
In a recent appearance on Inside Fighting's YouTube page, Haggerty paid homage to some of the finest warriors to ever come out of the UK and named his top 5 active fighters from the UK, across all disciplines. He said:
"I'd say Tom Aspinall is up there. I'd have to say myself, up there. I'd have to say, Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury. This might be controversial but I like Conor Benn. That wasn't in any order, but that's just my top five."

Tom Aspinall is the interim UFC heavyweight champion. Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury, on the other hand, have won multiple world titles and are two of the best heavyweights in boxing today.
The undefeated Conor Benn is also another promising British boxer with a bright future ahead.
Meanwhile, Haggerty has definitely aligned himself with these great fighters. 'The General' could further cement his place atop the pound-for-pound rankings in his bantamweight Muay Thai world title defense against Superlek Kiatmoo9 at ONE 168: Denver.
Tickets for ONE 168: Denver on Sept. 6 at the Ball Arena are available via Ticketmaster.
