Jonathan Haggerty has rarely taken his foot off the pedal throughout his career and this has brought him a lot of success.
The Brit has been dedicated to the game from a young age and that has led to some incredible achievements.
However, the 27-year-old does want to have a life away from competing and though being a martial artist comes with sacrifice, he is now looking to give back some of that time.
Haggerty is currently set to return at one of the first major events of 2025 as he puts his ONE bantamweight kickboxing world championship on the line at ONE's return to Qatar.

Without looking past this next fight, the defending champion has plans already in mind for where he wants to divert his focus.
Jonathan Haggerty told ONE Championship in a recent interview all about his plans outside of fighting that he hopes to get around to in the near future:
"I'm looking to start a family myself if I'm honest. If it happens, I'll be buzzing. I'm continuing to go forward in this game too. I'm opening up my own gym, Haggerty Academy. I think I'll be doing that after this fight and start working on the next generation both in the gym and in my house."
Jonathan Haggerty will still bring everything to ONE 171
Though Jonathan Haggerty may have plans to really establish roots via his family and a new gym, he's still at the top of the sport right now.
His return at ONE 171 on February 20 is yet another big test for him as the champion takes on China's Wei Rui in the main event at the Lusail Sports Arena.
Haggerty has come too far to make the mistake of looking past an opponent and he's certainly not doing that right now.
The Brit hopes to turn his fortunes around by kicking off 2025 with a return to the win column and a successful bantamweight world title defense. After that, he can take his foot off the pedal ever so slightly.
