“Incase y’all forgot” - Jonathan Haggerty reminds fans of his savagery, fans react

ONE flyweight Muay Thai world champion Jonathan Haggerty has been itching to get back in the circle. In case anyone forgot, ‘The General’ gave fans a reminder of the beautiful violence he brings with every appearance in a recent post on Instagram, featuring a 10-minute highlight reel with the caption:

“Incase y’all forgot. 10 minute highlight video of violence 🩸⚠️ @onechampionship. You can't teach heart"

Heavily featured in a collection of hard-hitting clips are Jonathan Haggerty’s wars with the reigning division world champion, Rodtang Jitmuangnon. The two squared off on two separate occasions in battles that one fan suggested would stand the test of time.

Fans have long been clamoring for a trilogy bout between the two Muay Thai warriors. It nearly became a reality when both fighters landed on opposite sides of the ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Grand Prix bracket in May. Unfortunately, Haggerty was forced to withdraw from his quarter-final bout with Walter Goncalves.

Scheduled to return in a tournament alternate bout against Amir Naseri at ONE on Prime Video 1 in August, ‘The General’ was once again forced out of the tournament citing a non-COVID related illness.

Jonathan Haggerty slated to make bantamweight debut at ONE on Prime Video 4

Jonathan Haggerty finally looks healthy and ready to return to the circle, but this time, it will be in ONE Championship’s bantamweight division. As a former flyweight world champion, ‘The General’ will make the move from 135 pounds to 145, taking on Vladimir Kuzmin as announced on his Instagram.

“Bantamweight division I am here 🤴🏼 @onechampionship Kuzmin first on my hit list 😤”

Vladimir Kuzmin will be looking for his second win inside the circle when he takes on the former world champion. Debuting at ONE: Full Circle in February, Kuzmin scored a unanimous decision win over Chris Shaw, but was on the losing end of a close split decision against Muangthai PK.Saenchai at ONE 159 in July.
