Reigning ONE bantamweight kickboxing world champion and former bantamweight Muay Thai titleholder 'The General' Jonathan Haggerty of the United Kingdom isn't bitter about losing his Muay Thai gold to archrival 'The Kicking Machine' Superlek Kiatmoo9.
Haggerty surrendered the bantamweight Muay Thai strap to Superlek at ONE 168: Denver last month, losing via knockout in just 49 seconds of their scheduled five-rounder at the Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado.
In effect, Superlek not only took home the coveted belt, but he also became the man to beat in the division, and prime pickings for no.1-ranked contender 'King of the North' Nico Carrillo.
Speaking to the Sky Sports MMA Club podcast in a recent guest appearance, Haggerty shared his thoughts on that potential matchup, and as a fan, he can't wait to see it.

The 27-year-old Team Underground product said:
"I think it will be an interesting fight. Nico’s huge. If Superlek can withstand the shots and get out of the way of the shots and chop him down, then perhaps Superlek can take it. But who knows? Nico’s weight and size might be overpowering."
Needless to say, a potential showdown between Superlek and Carrillo would be absolutely stunning and Haggerty, as well as fans from all over the world would tune in to see it.
Jonathan Haggerty wishes Nico Carrillo the best against Superlek Kiatmoo9: "I’m not that bitter"
If and when 'King of the North' Nico Carrillo and 'The Kicking Machine' Superlek Kiatmoo9 do chop it up in the Circle, 'The General' Jonathan Haggerty would like to bid his Scottish counterpart good luck.
'The General' said:
"I’m not that bitter, if I’m honest. But you know what, he’s going to obviously have a head start because he’s going to learn from my mistakes and not to rush in. He’s going to do what he has to do and not rush in. Yeah, wish him the best."
