Jonathan Haggerty talked about the satisfaction he receives from fighting.
In April 2023, Haggerty secured a legacy-defining win by dethroning Nong-O Hama off the ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world title (first-round knockout).
Since then, 'The General' has established the best run in his fighting career by becoming knocking out Fabricio Andrade (kickboxing) and Felipe Lobo (Muay Thai).
The reigning two-sport bantamweight world champion joined the South China Morning Post for an interview to discuss several topics, including his upcoming fight against Superlek. Haggerty had this to say about his love for fighting:

"Well, I'm just in my zone, and I enjoy it. I love it, especially when you're victorious, it's a beautiful thing."
At 27 years old, Haggerty has accomplished plenty by securing world titles in the following divisions in ONE Championship - flyweight Muay Thai, bantamweight Muay Thai, and bantamweight kickboxing.
With that said, the UK superstar has more challenges to overcome, especially his upcoming fight at ONE 168: Denver.

Jonathan Haggerty faces Superlek in a must-see Muay Thai matchup at ONE 168: Denver
Next Friday represents a special event for ONE Championship, as ONE 168: Denver features many current and future superstars.
The Sept. 6 spectacle needed a super-fight in the main event, leading to Jonathan Haggerty putting his bantamweight Muay Thai world title on the line in a rematch against Superlek.
Similar to Haggerty, Superlek is riding one of, if not the, best runs of his combat sports career. The flyweight kickboxing world champion's last three fights include wins against Muay Thai legend Rodtang, Japanese kickboxing Superstar Takeru Segawa, and the hard-hitting Kongthoranee Sor Sommai.
At ONE 168: Denver, Haggerty, and Superlek will meet in a matchup that would significantly strengthen either fighter's resume.
It'll be intriguing to see who emerges victorious in the potential Fight of the Year contender.
ONE 168 goes down inside the Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado. Tickets for the upcoming event featuring two world title fights can be found on Ticketmaster.
