Jonathan Haggerty labeled his brother Freddie Haggerty as "the next big thing."

In January, Freddie, the younger brother of two-sport bantamweight world champion Jonathan, made his ONE Championship debut. The 19-year-old secured a second-round knockout win against Dankalong Sor Dechapan and then returned six months later against Kaichon Sor Yingcharoenkarnchang.

Haggerty knocked out Kaichon in round one, further proving he's a prospect to watch in the ONE strawweight Muay Thai division. During a video on his YouTube channel, Jonathan had this to say about the potential of his younger brother:

"He’s looking sharp the more he trains. And he’s on his way there I tell you. He's the next big thing."

Jonathan Haggerty and Superlek enter ONE 168: Denver riding momentum

It's unclear when Freddie Haggerty will fight next. Meanwhile, two-sport world champion Jonathan Haggerty's next appearance under the ONE Championship banner is booked, which has been widely considered his toughest test yet.

On September 6, 'The General' will headline ONE 168: Denver, which represents the promotion's return to North America. Haggerty's latest opponent is ONE flyweight kickboxing world champion Superlek, who looks to become a two-sport king by dethroning the UK superstar of his bantamweight Muay Thai strap.

Haggerty and Superlek enter ONE 168 after highly impressive three-fight runs. 'The General' is coming off wins against Nong-O (Muay Thai), Fabricio Andrade (kickboxing), and Felipe Lobo (Muay Thai).

As for Superlek, he's riding tremendous momentum after taking out Rodtang (Muay Thai), Takeru Segawa (kickboxing), and Kongthoranee (Muay Thai). 'The Kicking Machine' holds a promotional record of 10-0 in "The Art of Eight Limbs."

ONE 168 will be hosted inside the Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado. Tickets for the September 6 event featuring Haggerty vs Superlek can be found on Ticketmaster.
