Just a few days out from his return to the ONE circle on November 18, Jonathan Haggerty is looking strapped and ready for war.
'The General' posted a picture of his physique while training in England a few days out from his fight with Vladimir Kuzmin in Singapore at ONE on Prime Video 4.
Haggerty has enjoyed an incredibly successful career in ONE Championship thus far. Since beating Joseph Lasiri, he’s had a memorable duo of fights with Rodtang Jitmuangnon and is currently enjoying a two-fight win streak.

In less than a week, he’ll fight Russian slugger Vladimir Kuzmin in Singapore. The Russian striker split his first two outings in ONE Championship, winning his debut against Chris Shaw earlier this year before dropping a tough split decision loss to veteran Muay Thai fighter Muangthai PK.Saenchai. He’ll be looking to win against a strong, well-prepared opponent in Haggerty to redeem himself in the sport.
After fighting his entire career in ONE Championship at flyweight, Jonathan Haggerty is moving up to bantamweight to make a run at the belt. After dropping his world title and failing to reclaim it against Rodtang Jitmuangnon, Haggerty proved that he is still a top contender in the division, winning two straight contests over the past couple of years. Now, he’s looking for a new challenge in a heavier weight class.
He’ll likely be outsized against the more naturally-sized Kuzmin, but Haggerty’s freedom to add weight and pack muscle should give him the strength and cardio against Kuzmin. Their match at ONE on Prime Video 4 will be broadcast live and for free for all Amazon Prime Video subscribers across North America.
Jonathan Haggerty gives prediction for Rodtang vs. Lasiri fight
After Jonathan Haggerty and Vladimir Kuzmin go to war, two former foes of 'The General' will battle for the ONE flyweight Muay Thai world championship.
Rodtang Jitmuangnon will defend his belt against Joseph Lasiri in the co-main event of ONE on Prime Video 4, and Haggerty will definitely have great interest in the fight. In an interview with The Superfan MMA, Haggerty gave his prediction for the fight:
“I feel Rodtang [wins]. For some reason, I think Lasiri can take it out the bag but we’ll have to wait and see. I’ll be happy for both of them if they win”.
While Haggerty holds a win over Lasiri, he’s currently 0-2 against Rodtang. It’s common for fighters to pick the opponents that beat them in the past to win, but Rodtang is also the defending world champion in this fight. However, since losing to Haggerty, Joseph Lasiri has also captured the strawweight world championship, making this a world champ vs. world champ affair.
ONE on Prime Video 4 goes down on November 18 from the Singapore Indoor Stadium. The card is headlined by Kiamrian Abbasov defending his ONE welterweight world championship against ONE lightweight world champion Christian Lee. Both Jonathan Haggerty vs. Vladimir Kuzmin and Rodtang Jitmuangnon vs. Joseph Lasiri will also take place on the card. The event airs free exclusively for subscribers of Amazon Prime Video in US prime time.
