Current undisputed ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world champion Jonathan Haggerty tuned in to the mega showdown between Thai superstars Rodtang Jitmuangnon and Superlek Kiatmoo9, which went down in September 2023 at ONE Friday Fights 34 inside the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
Haggerty recently talked about the atomic elbow strike that 'The Iron Man' landed on the forehead of 'The Kicking Machine', instantly opening a massive cut in the opening round of the catchweight bout.
The British combat sports superstar looked back at this moment during his appearance on the Winners Talking Podcast, and he lauded Superlek's incredible resilience by stating:
"Yeah, I thought that was it. It was a long line (pointing to his forehead to show the size of Superlek's cut). It was just mad. But that showed you Superlek's ability."

'The General' has firsthand experience of fighting against both Rodtang and Superlek, but unfortunately sustained defeats from them.
Haggerty was defeated twice by Rodtang and most recently absorbed a first-round knockout at the hands of Superlek last September at the organization's second on-ground spectacle in North America, ONE 168: Denver.
Jonathan Haggerty competing against Taekwondo athletes is the thing he hates the most
In the same interview, the Knowlesy Academy and Team Underground athlete has shared the worst stylistic matchup that he doesn't want to face in training and sparring.
The former two-sport ONE world champion said:
"You know what, I hate sparring, I hate fighting against Taekwondo people. It's long. They come out with these spinning stuff and frustrate you. If they can frustrate you, they'll pick you apart. If you can keep your cool and get your distance, I'm saying Thai boxing."
Jonathan Haggerty is preparing for his upcoming world title defense against 'Demon Blade' Wei Rui in the main event of ONE 171: Qatar, which will emanate from the Lusail Sports Arena on Feb. 20.
