Jonathan Haggerty was absolutely crushed following his first-round knockout loss to 'The Kicking Machine' Superlek Kiatmoo9 last month and didn't want to talk to anyone right after he left the ring.

Haggerty was devasted after suffering a 49-second knockout at the hands of his Thai rival at ONE 168: Denver, which took place at the Mile High City's famous Ball Arena on Sept. 6.

Speaking to the Sky Sports MMA Club podcast in a recent guest appearance, Haggerty credited his team for helping him manage his emotions after the loss.

'The General' said:

"It was good, they knew when to leave me alone and when to be around. We managed it quite well to be fair."

Needless to say, Haggerty is now in high spirits and extra motivated to improve his game, work his way back up to the top, and eventually challenge Superlek again for a highly anticipated trilogy fight.

Jonathan Haggerty assures fans he's doing well despite losing to Superlek: "We’re not sitting down in the dumps"

'The General' Jonathan Haggerty says he isn't dwelling on his second loss to 'The Kicking Machine' Superlek Kiatmoo9 and wants to assure his fans that he is doing well both physically and mentally.

The Englishman vows to return with a vengeance, better than ever.

He told Sky Sports MMA Club podcast:

"[The disappointment] lasted a while, maybe I’d say about three or four days. But like I said, I’ve got a good few people around me as a family out there and I was just going out after the fight and enjoying myself."

Haggerty added:

"It’s not as hard. I can take a break when I want to take a break. Hit the bag, sort of stuff like that, really. Just keeping myself busy as well, that’s the main thing. We’re not sitting down in the dumps."
