He praised Rogan's extensive knowledge of the sport, describing him as an "encyclopedia of wealth" when it comes to boxing and MMA:

"Joe's been watching the sport freaking forever man... we are like talking boxing and it's like there's not a name that I throw out there, this guy [Joe Rogan] doesn't know and hasn't digested twenty fights of this individual and I'm throwing like, uh, we're just talking boxing for a minute and its like every fight, every fighter that I brought up, he's like 'I remember when so and so, he took him out in the seventh round.' He's just an encyclopedia of wealth for the sport."

For Jorge Masvidal, being acknowledged by Rogan is a significant achievement, and he referred to it as a "real-life notch":

"For him[Joe Rogan] to consider me one of the 'better fighters to have ever lived'... that's a real-life notch right there... I consider him a f**king true connoisseur of the sport."

Jorge Masvidal discusses his upcoming fight against Gilbert Burns at UFC 287

Appearing in the same interview, Jorge Masvidal also shared his thoughts on his upcoming fight against Gilbert Burns at UFC 287.

Speaking ahead of the fight, 'Gamebred' appeared confident, predicting a victory over his opponent, whom he referred to as "The Stepping Stone."

The 38-year-old Miami-based fighter acknowledged that Burns is a good competitor when it comes to fighting, but he believes they are not on the same skill level. He also claimed that Burns lacks the gameness, toughness, durability, and sturdiness needed to compete at the highest level:

"I think he's a good competitor. He comes to fight for the most part, but we've never been on the same skillset. As far as gameness goes - as far as toughness and durability and that sturdiness - he's never had it either. He gets cracked and he starts skating."

While Burns is known for his jiu-jitsu skills, 'Gamebred' expressed confidence in his ability to handle wrestlers effectively, stating that he has been focusing on improving his wrestling skills for the past six months. He stated:

"I'm going to tell you that I'm going to paint my Van Gogh on Gilbert's face with elbows, knees, kicks, takedown defense, takedown offense."-[22:58 mark]

Jorge Masvidal didn't mince his words when describing his strategy for the fight. He promised to use a variety of techniques, including elbows, knees, kicks, takedown defense, and takedown offense, to "paint his Van Gogh" on Burns' face.
