Jorge Masvidal recently spoke candidly about the criticism he received for endorsing Donald Trump. Masvidal claimed that backing Trump resulted in a significant financial loss, but he is unconcerned about it, citing his passion for his country.

Masvidal, who has praised the real estate mogul at numerous political rallies, is among the many MMA figures who have expressed their support for Trump. On multiple occasions, Trump has reciprocated by praising the former BMF champion in his speeches.

During a recent appearance on the Fight Back podcast, Masvidal spoke to former UFC fighter Jake Shields and opened up about receiving a lot of backlash for supporting Trump.

''[I got] a ton of hate [for supporting Trump] and still do to this day.''

'Gamebred' claimed that although his affiliation with Trump first brought him a lot of attention, the 78-year-old has been under scrutiny for a while, which led to Masvidal being demonetized from social media and suffering a substantial loss of money. The 40-year-old doesn't care much about these unfortunate circumstances because he values his nation more than money, adding:

''I was monetized, I was f***ing killing the game. I'm talking about good f***ing money. Like, I didn't have to fight money. Very good money. I did a video with [Donald Trump Jr.]. We got like 44 million views. I'm talking about two or three days later, simultaneously, Facebook and YouTube unmonetized me... I was on my way to making money [again]. Trump goes down to Florida in 2023 and he asks me to come to Hialeah, to the rally...again I was unmonetized on Facebook and YouTube. I don't even give a f***, bro. Because what's this money if I don't have this country?''
