ONE strawweight Muay Thai world champion Joseph Lasiri just landed in Singapore to prepare for his massive bout with ONE's flyweight Muay Thai king, Rodtang Jitmuangnon.
Lasiri will move up in weight to challenge the dominant Thai superstar with the hopes of becoming a two-division world champion. The two will clash in the co-main event of ONE on Prime Video 4.
It's hard to say from just one photo, but from the looks of it, the Italian-Moroccan striker looked calm and relaxed coming into perhaps the biggest fight of his career:

The mettle and calm of a champion is what separates them from mere contenders. They can be as cool as a cucumber, looking like they're just walking into a barber shop, and then entering a cage and fighting a man trying to destroy them.
If you look at the level of fighters Joseph Lasiri has beaten in his 42-fight career so far, you wouldn't be surprised if he's so calm coming into a fight against perhaps the most feared man in all of Muay Thai today.
Joseph Lasiri starches Prajanchai PK.Saenchai to become the new ONE strawweight Muay Thai king at ONE 157
In May of this year, at ONE 157, Joseph Lasiri put a definitive end to then-reigning ONE strawweight king Prajanchai PK.Saenchai's reign as world champion.
The Thai living legend couldn't stand up from his stool at the beginning of the fourth round, automatically forfeiting the fight.
The bout was evenly contested throughout the first two rounds until Lasiri opened nasty cuts on Prajanchai's face. The champion's demeanor almost instantly changed as he looked visibly concerned about the bloody damage.
From there, 'The Hurricane' showed everyone why he belonged in the upper echelon of the sport today. The Italian striker battered the Thai on all fronts, allowing very little breathing room.
Near the end of the third round, Prajanchai was wearing a proverbial crimson mask as Lasiri connected with almost every strike in his arsenal. The accumulated damage to the champion's face and body was so severe that once he sat on the stool after the round, he verbally admitted that he couldn't continue anymore.
Lasiri's TKO win didn't just crown him as the new world champion, but also left him as the recipient of a sweet $50,000 performance bonus.
Let's see if Joseph Lasiri can pull off the same sustained battery on the dominant 'Iron Man', Rodtang Jitmuangnon. Rodtang is known to invite firefights in the pocket and if Lasiri obliges him in that department, we're in for a war at ONE on Prime Video 4.
