Before signing with ONE Championship, Joseph Lasiri was an aspiring fighter who struggled to support himself with multiple jobs in between training sessions. Everything changed in 2018 when ‘The Hurricane’ made his first performance inside the circle.
In an interview with ONE Championship, Lasiri spoke about the troubles of trying to train regularly while also working full-time and his appreciation for the opportunity given to him by the ONE CEO.
“Chatri [Sityodtong] gave us this opportunity. Because I was a fighter, I was training a lot until now. When I was working in a pizza shop, I was training a lot, when I was a part-time seller, it was very hard. Now I cannot imagine how I can do both things.”
Today, Joseph Lasiri is a ONE strawweight Muay Thai world champion and has the chance to add another piece of ONE gold to his collection at ONE on Prime Video 4, which is available to North American audiences who have a Prime Video subscription.

Making his debut on Amazon Prime Video, Lasiri will challenge the reigning and defending flyweight Muay Thai titleholder, ‘The Iron Man’ Rodtang Jitmuangnon.
In order to etch his name in the history books as a two-division world champion, Lasiri will have to go through arguably the greatest Muay Thai fighter in the world presently. Through 10 career Muay Thai appearances inside the circle, Rodtang has yet to taste defeat. Will Lasiri be the man to knock ‘The Iron Man’ off his pedestal?
