Fans soon rushed to the comments section to share their reactions, with one fan mocking Masvidal, asking him to stay retired:
''He looked horrible in his past 3 fights, just stay retired''
Another expressed his desire for a rematch between Masvida and Colby Covington, writing:
''Journeyman is back. Possibly Him vs. Colby 2 in future''
Other fans wrote:
''I just have zero interested unless it’s against a pure striker I guess? I wouldn’t mind a Stephen matchup, potentially a Leon Edwards matchup maybe just for a YOLO? Anybody that’s a pure striker I wouldn’t mind''
''People keep calling for Mas vs. Colby 2. Why? That's a terrible stylistic matchup for Mas, and a rematch would just be a repeat of their first fight. I say possibly a rematch with Nate, or a fight with Nick [presuming he gets himself together in time]''.
