A satirical Stephen A. Smith quote about knocking out Joe Rogan has resurfaced, sparking a wave of online reactions.

The fake quote, originally posted in 2022, humorously claimed Smith could KO Rogan:

"Let me be clear. If my right hand connects with the legend Joe Rogan, all due respect, he's getting knocked out people."

Smith, a renowned ESPN analyst and sports commentator, is no stranger to bold opinions, while Rogan, a former Taekwondo champion and UFC commentator, is a celebrated figure in mixed martial arts. Though the quote was satire, it gained renewed attention in December 2024, accompanied by the video of Smith attempting pad-hitting.

Fans were quick to mock the idea of a Smith vs. Rogan matchup. One fan joked:

“Wait, is this supposed to be a boxing match? Damn it! I just wagered $1m on Joe Rogan's right leg kick making Stephen Smith 4 ft shorter.”

Another quipped:

“LMAO no way did @stephenasmith actually say that. Rogan would destroy Smith. A wet paper bag would be a better start point for Smith. He might be able to win that one.”
