Reigning ONE lightweight submission grappling world champion Kade Ruotolo is the type of athlete who is never complacent in his abilities. If there is an opportunity to learn from others, he will take it beyond any doubt.
In an interview with Bloody Elbow, the Atos product revealed that he made the most out of his time with ONE flyweight MMA world champion and MMA GOAT contender Demetrious Johnson during his recent guest appearance on MightyCast.
Ruotolo said:

Kade Ruotolo is coming off a successful MMA debut this past June at ONE 167, where he submitted Blake Cooper via rear-naked choke midway through the first round to stay undefeated through seven bouts under the ONE banner.
As the king of the ONE lightweight submission grappling division, the 21-year-old has three successful defenses, all of which showcased his world-class ground game acumen.
At ONE 168: Denver on September 6, Ruotolo will defend the ONE lightweight submission grappling world championship against ONE flyweight submission grappling world titleholder Mikey Musumeci inside the Ball Arena.

Kade Ruotolo believes he has figured out how Mikey Musumeci will try to take the ONE lightweight submission grappling crown from him at ONE 168 on September 6 inside the Ball Arena.
The BJJ black belter, during an appearance on the Talk-Jitsu Podcast, said:
"I believe that's gonna be his goal, is to get a leg. In the most respectful way possible, I think that his only chance [to win] is to get onto my legs and maybe transition to a possible backtake or something. I think he's banking on some foot lock, or some heel hooks, or straight foot locks."
