ONE lightweight submission grappling world champion Kade Ruotolo defends his gold against Mikey Musumeci at ONE 168: Denver, and he believes there is a high chance he will acquire a highlight-reel finish in their all-champion showdown.

Both superstars head into their Ball Arena showdown on September 6 with identical 7-0 records on the global stage. But the defending king is confident he can stop the Brazilian jiu-jitsu specialist chasing two-division glory in The Mile High City the best way he knows how.

In an interview with Cageside Press, Kade Ruotolo specifically broke down the exact percentage of his chances to draw a tap from 'Darth Rigatoni':

"There might be a 95.3 percent chance that I'll get the submission, all right. So yeah."

The Atos representative should have all the tricks and skills to do just that against the ONE flyweight submission grappling world champion.

With six dominant wins in the discipline under the promotional banner and another highly-skilled submission finish of Blake Cooper in his pro-MMA debut at ONE 167 this past June, there is no reason to doubt Ruotolo's chances of sinking in a match-winning maneuver against the Evolve MMA representative.

However, Musumeci is cut from the same cloth. The 28-year-old is one of the leading stars in the submission grappling realm today, and like Ruotolo, he has every imaginable submission under his belt to finish anyone who stands in the way of his goal.

Jarred Brooks expects Kade Ruotolo and Mikey Musumeci to shine in Denver showdown

Newly crowned ONE interim strawweight MMA world champion Jarred Brooks shared his thoughts on this must-watch submission grappling super-fight between Kade Ruotolo and Mikey Musumeci.

The Mash Fight Team star, who claimed the strap with a first-round finish of Gustavo Balart at ONE Fight Nigh 24, told Sportskeeda MMA:

"This is a huge matchup for any jiu-jitsu practitioner. I don't have a prediction, but I know both of them are going to do equally well."

Tickets for ONE 168: Denver – the promotion's second on-ground spectacle in North America – is available on Ticketmaster.
