From day one, ONE world champion Kade Ruotolo has been focused on getting the finish every time he steps on the mat.
Ruotolo got exactly that in his last submission grappling outing at ONE Fight Night 21 in April, needing less than five minutes to submit Brazilian standout Francisco Lo with a unique arm-in guillotine he later dubbed the "Ruotolo-tine."
He even picked up an impressive opening-round tapout win over Blake Cooper at ONE 167 last month.

Though it was just his third overall finish under the ONE Championship banner, Ruotolo's aggressive style of grappling always keeps the action entertaining and offers the possibility of seeing something truly spectacular.
Appearing on the Beasts with Brains Podcast with Alex Wendling, Ruotolo spoke about his desire to finish his opens and how that was instilled in him early on. He said:
"Honestly, I’d say from day one. From the day I started jiu-jitsu. I can’t really recall a day at the start of our careers when we did not have that mentality."
Ruotolo will look for another big finish when he returns to the Circle on Sept. 6 for perhaps the biggest match of his career thus far.
