There’s no doubt reigning ONE lightweight submission grappling world champion Kade Ruotolo is an absolute phenom when it comes to the grappling arts. But he didn’t get to where he’s at in his career on his own.
Ruotolo has had expert guidance in the form of twin brother Tye, and most importantly, his mentor Andre Galvao, the founder of Atos, where the twin phenoms train.
In a recent interview with ONE Championship, Ruotolo gushed about Galvao as a role model for him and his brother, and how they aspire to follow in the Brazilian legend’s footsteps one day.

Ruotolo said:
“I think I have a lot of different people that kind of keep me grounded to earth. Each one is a huge person for me. For sure. Yeah. My manager. One of them for sure. But no one is as huge for me as my Professor Galvao, you know, seeing how much he's acquired in his life, just, you know, owning an academy, completing as much as he had in the competition side of things, so many world championships.”
Ruotolo will get the chance to make Galvao proud when he steps into the Circle for his next match.
Kade Ruotolo will put the coveted ONE lightweight submission grappling world title on the line against dangerous Norwegian opponent, IBJJF European Open champion Tommy Langaker at ONE Fight Night 11: Eersel vs. Menshikov on Prime Video.
The event broadcasts live from the iconic Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand on Friday, June 9, and will stream absolutely free to fans in the United States and Canada with an active Amazon Prime subscription.
