At ONE Fight Night 11, Kade Ruotolo will return to the circle for the second defense of his lightweight submission grappling world championship.
Since signing with the promotion, Kade has proven himself to be one of the top competitors in the world. On top of his record-breaking ADCC world championship outing last year, he became a ONE lightweight submission grappling world champion at ONE on Prime Video 3 in October last year.
For his next appearance inside the circle, he will face off with a fellow jiu-jitsu specialist in a matchup that has been a long-time coming.
At the ADCC championships last year, Kade shared an encounter with Norway’s Tommy Langaker that led to talk of an inevitable contest between the two. With an added bit of tension for this particular matchup, Kade Ruotolo is coming in to prove a point and remind everyone that he is the best grappler in the division.

In an interview with ONE Championship, the lightweight titleholder said that despite his own skill set and confidence, he has to be wary of what his opponent brings to the table:
“He has, you know, some big wins under his belt. And, you know, he's going to be a tough person to take out.”
Langaker has secured two back-to-back wins in ONE Championship to put himself into pole position in the division. As Kade points out, the Norwegian is no stranger to high-profile matchups with some impressive names on his record.
