Kade Ruotolo says his twin brother Tye Ruotolo “definitely wants to make that debut” in MMA this year

While Kade Ruotolo is set to defend his ONE lightweight submission grappling world title against fellow ONE world champion Mikey Musumeci at ONE 168: Denver, he is rooting for his twin brother Tye Ruotolo to follow in his footsteps.

But it's not going to be in grappling.

The burgeoning grappler and MMA fighter thinks that his Tye has what it takes to embark on a mixed martial arts journey like he did when he debuted in a victorious match over Blake Cooper at ONE 167 this past June.

As Kade prepares for his co-main event tilt in the Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado, on Sept. 6, he sat down with Cageside Press to discuss what's next after his title defense.

Kade Ruotolo said:

"We've got a couple of things coming up, but by the end of the year, he [Tye] definitely wants to make that debut – October, November, December this year. Latest by early next year, but he really wants it by the end of this year."

After what we've seen so far, it is certain that both Kade and Tye Ruotolo are going to make waves in submission grappling and MMA.

Jarred Brooks roots for Kade Ruotolo and Mikey Musumeci's world title match in Denver

The new ONE interim strawweight MMA world champion Jarred Brooks knows what to expect when two ONE world champions clash for the golden belt.

This time, 'The Monkey God' shared his insights on the epic submission grappling super-match between Kade Ruotolo and Mikey Musumeci for the former's golden belt at ONE 168: Denver this coming September.

Brooks, who claimed the interim belt after submitting Cuba's Gustavo Balart in the first round, told Sportskeeda MMA:

"This is a huge matchup for any jiu-jitsu practitioner. I don't have a prediction, but I know both of them are going to do equally well."
