Belal Muhammad has just stunned the world. He proved his detractors wrong by dethroning Leon Edwards as welterweight champion at UFC 304, and in the former champion's backyard, no less. However, the unanimous decision win did not come easily for 'Remember the Name'.

Muhammad's wrestling and output were the deciding factors of the bout, but Edwards also gave a good account of himself. The Brit scored his own takedowns, outgrappling his opponent in one of the rounds, and even busting him open toward the end with elbows from top position after a reversal.

Despite Edwards' best efforts, Muhammad would not be denied, and he now reigns supreme as the UFC welterweight champion. His title triumph drew countless reactions from his peers on X. Among those who congratulated him was former welterweight kingpin Kamaru Usman.

"Congratulations @bullb170"

Potential title challenger and unbeaten 170-pounder Shavkat Rakhmonov also took to X to congratulate 'Remember the Name'.

"Congratulations on your well-deserved victory, @bullyb170! I hope you keep your word and defend your title against me when you're ready, champ"

More praise came from former three-time Bellator lightweight champion and one-time UFC lightweight title challenger Michael Chandler.

"Remember the name... @bullyb170"

Alan Jouban, who handed Muhammad his first-ever UFC loss in the new welterweight kingpin's promotional debut, also wished him well on X.

"Congrats to the new champ! @bullyb170 Well done my friend"

The sky is now the limit for Muhammad, who will embark on a victory lap to enjoy the fruits of his labor. However, with the specter of a tough division to reign over, his services as a champion will be called upon sooner or later.

As for who his first title challenger will be, that remains to be seen, but 'Remember the Name' will be sure to be ready for all challenges.
