Kamaru Usman recently slammed Ian Machado Garry with an iconic Conor McGregor line after the Irishman made comments leading up to UFC 310. The former welterweight champion took offense to 'The Future' accusing him of being scared to step in and fight Shavkat Rakhmonov on short notice.
Rakhmonov and Garry competed in a back-and-forth fight that saw the former earn a unanimous decision after all three judges scored the bout 48-47. With the win, the Kazakh became the definitive number-one contender and secured a title against Belal Muhammad, who entered the octagon for a faceoff after the bout.
During the latest episode of his Pound 4 Pound podcast with co-host Henry Cejudo, 'The Nigerian Nightmare' sounded off on 'The Future's' accusations and clapped back with a response of his own.
Usman responded to Cejudo's suggestion about possibly fighting the Irishman next and referenced an iconic McGregor line to imply that his status at 170 pounds is much greater than Machado Garry:

"Does [Machado Garry] even deserve that [fight]? And this is what I'm gonna say is leading up to this fight, there was a lot being said. He made a lot of things, 'Oh, everyone's running from me. These guys are running from me'. And I don't run from anybody, no one...Who are you that I of all people is scared of you?...I guess he was upset because he wanted me to be his late replacement...for his fight. Who that f**k is that guy?" [15:22]

Kamaru Usman recaps Shavkat Rakhmonov vs. Ian Machado Garry
In addition to sounding off on Ian Machado Garry's accusations about him being afraid to step in and fight on short notice, Kamaru Usman recapped the Irishman's welterweight clash against Shavkat Rakhmonov at UFC 310.
During the aforementioned episode, Usman mentioned that Garry did well when he created space, but said he noticed holes in both of their respective skill sets:
"If [Machado Garry] is able to create space, he's able to kind of get his flow going. And Shavkat [Rakhmonov], wants to get to the action, he's just wants, 'I got to get my hands on you'...There is holes in both of their games as you could see. I am a wrestler. Once Ian got taken down a few times, the fight kind of got away from him." [16:58]
