Kayla Harrison recently shared her thoughts on a potential fight against "twerker" Ailin Perez and discussed her future career moves. Harrison stated that she was open to fighting Perez while waiting to see how a potential Raquel Pennington vs. Julianna Pena title fight would play out.

Earlier this month, Perez defeated Joselyne Edwards via unanimous decision at UFC 302. After her victory, the Argentine called out Harrison for a showdown at the post-fight press conference and asked UFC CEO Dana White to book the matchup for a main event clash.

During a recent interview, Harrison was asked for her thoughts on Perez's challenge. The Olympic gold medalist judoka jokingly referenced the Argentine's signature twerking celebration and said:

"I've heard that too [Perez's call out]. The twerker, right? And a judo girl. I will fight both of them on the same night. I'll fight anyone, I'm not saying no to anybody... Sometimes, it's just a little outrageous; I don't really know what to say. I'm like, 'You're twerking,' I don't know how to handle this."

Harrison is coming off an impressive second-round submission win over Holly Holm at UFC 300. The 33-year-old's win extended her already remarkable professional record to 17-1.

UFC women's bantamweight Ailin Perez calls out Kayla Harrison for a "main event" fight

As mentioned above, Ailin Perez challenged Kayla Harrison to a fight after she won her third consecutive UFC fight. Perez has a professional record of 10-2 and is hoping to secure a blockbuster fight against Harrison in a main event spot.

After beating Joselyne Edwards at UFC 302, Perez opened up about her future fight plans and named Harrison as her preferred next opponent. Claiming that she had "some big ovaries," the 29-year-old urged Dana White to book the matchup and said:

''Yes, I called on Kayla Harrison back there in the interview. Listen, this is a name that is resounding in the division right now. Mine is going to be sounding really good in the future I want that fight, I want to fight her, I want a main event, I do have the cardio, and I have the heart for five rounds. And I got some big ovaries. Dana, give me this fight, I deserve it.”
