Kayla Harrison has promised to promote Alex Pereira to a new Judo belt, on the condition he can execute a judo throw on Jiri Prochazka at UFC 303.

Pereira and Prochazka are set to run it back on June 29 in Las Vegas as the new main event, following Conor McGregor's withdrawal from his bout against Michael Chandler. The pair previously faced-off at UFC 295 last year, with the Brazilian clinching the win via second round TKO.

In recent weeks, Pereira has been brushing up on his judo skills ahead of his bout against Prochazka and even enlisted UFC star and former Olympic judo gold medalist Kayla Harrison to help train him.

A video then surfaced of the pair working together in the gym, which showed the American throwing Pereira with ease.

After having trained together, another video was shared online of 'Poatan' putting the work they had done into practice. The clip shows Pereira performing the same throw Harrison had done to him on one of his training partners.

Harrison then responded to the clip and promised Pereira that she would promote him to a yellow belt, if he can execute the same throw on Jiri Prochazka during their upcoming bout. She wrote:

"When he throws Jiri with this I will promote him to yellow belt.😤"

Anthony Smith changes tune on his opinion of Alex Pereira

Anthony Smith has faced criticism from fans in recent weeks for his opinions on Alex Pereira.

According to 'Lionheart', despite the Brazilian having won both the middleweight and light heavyweight titles during his career so far, he has a relatively limited skillset in the octagon.

Smith then clarified his comments, however, during a recent interview with Submission Radio. The 205-pound contender said:

"He's fun. He's got a really good sense of humor."

Smith continued:`

"I don't know him personally but I have been around him enough and watched him interact with people. He is a good guy and everybody in the back likes him. All the UFC staff says that he is really easy to work with, that he is very kind, that he is on time, he does everything that's asked of him."
