Christian Lee plans to alternate between lightweight and welterweight world title defenses.
In November 2022, Lee made history by defeating Kiamrian Abbasov to become a two-division MMA world champion. The accomplishment furthered his legacy in ONE Championship and created added pressure to hold off top contenders at lightweight and welterweight.
Lee recently made an appearance on 'The Brian Campbell Experience' to discuss his fighting career. The 26-year-old had this to say about needing to adjust his body between the two divisions:
"No, it doesn't matter in terms of the opponent. But I do want to keep it fair, so after this lightweight [defense], I plan on going to welterweight and then keep going back and forth from there. The only thing is I do need a little bit of time off to make an adjustment on the weight, but it's just nothing too bad."

Christian Lee focused on lightweight title defense against Alibeg Rasulov
Christian Lee hasn't fought since defeating Kiamrian Abbasov in November 2022. The 26-year-old never considered retirement while overcoming personal struggles within his family and now looks to make a statement in his return.
On December 6, Lee will defend his lightweight MMA world title in the ONE Fight Night 26 main event.
Lee's upcoming opponent is Alibeg Rasulov, who defeated Ok Rae Yoon in his promotional debut in July. Rasulov would have become the interim lightweight champion against Ok but missed weight heading into the matchup.
Rasulov enters his showdown with Lee holding a professional MMA record of 14-0. The Turkish lightweight has an opportunity on December 6 to overcome the toughest test of his fighting career.
ONE Fight Night 26 goes down inside the iconic Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand. The upcoming event featuring two world title fights, including Lee vs. Rasulov, can be seen live and for free by North American and Canadian viewers with an active Amazon Prime Video subscription.
