Johan Ghazali isn't letting his first loss under the ONE Championship banner get to him. After kickstarting his ONE run with five straight wins, the 18-year-old phenom suffered his first defeat at the hands of Vietnamese standout Nguyen Tran Duy Nhat at ONE 167 in June.
It was a frustrating moment for the Malaysian-American, but instead of letting the loss eat away at him, he chose to use it as a learning experience.
“I learned that life goes on no matter what, and no matter how much hardship life throws at you, you have to keep going, keep your head up, and just stay focused,” Ghazali told ONE Championship in a recent interview.

Three months after his loss against Nguyen, Ghazali climbed back into the win column with a first-round knockout finish against Josue Cruz at ONE 168 in Denver, Colorado.
Next, he'll look to make it back-to-back wins when he takes on another fighter looking to keep his own 'O' intact.
Johan Ghazali believes his power will be too much for Johan Estupinan at ONE 170
Emanating from the iconic Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand on Friday, Jan. 24, ONE 170 will see Johan Ghazali return to the Circle for a clash with Colombian star Johan Estupinan.
Estupinan, 22, goes into his fifth appearance with the promotion boasting an unbeaten record of 26-0 with a quartet of wins against Kouta Omori, Zafer Sayik, Sean Climaco, and Zakaria El Jamari.
With a 75 percent finish rate in ONE, Estupinan has looked practically unbeatable, but Ghazali is confident that his power will be too much for 'Panda Kick' to handle.
"I feel he's never met someone with my power. And as soon as he gets hit with my power, he would go down."
