Former ONE bantamweight world champion Kevin Belingon will be joining his Team Lakay stablemate Stephen Loman at ONE on Prime Video 4: Abbasov vs. Lee.

After enduring the toughest stretch of his MMA career so far, ‘The Silencer’ will be looking to get back on the winning track by welcoming Kim Jae Woong to the bantamweight ranks on November 18 inside the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

Belingon, who just turned 35, wants to prove that he still has a lot left in the tank. Despite putting on strong performances, the Filipino striker dropped his last four bouts, including consecutive setbacks against Bibiano Fernandes, John Lineker, and Kwon Won Il in his last outing.

Prior to that skid, Kevin Belingon was on a tear and won seven-straight fights. He aligned himself among Team Lakay’s stable of ONE world champions by unifying the ONE bantamweight throne against Fernandes in 2018.

Despite his current form, Kevin Belingon is still one of the most feared finishers in the promotion. 10 of his 20 career wins came by way of spectacular knockouts. However, ending his drought will be easier said than done since he’ll be sharing the circle with the hard-hitting South Korean.

Kim will be looking for a quick turnaround after getting booted out of the featherweight top five and starting anew in a lower weight class. ‘The Fighting God’ was just in action last month at ONE on Prime Video 3, where he was submitted by promotional newcomer Shamil Gasanov.

Kim recorded three victories at 155 pounds, including a sensational knockout finish of former two-division world champion Martin Nguyen last year.

A win against a former world champion like Belingon will certainly be a terrific start to his move to 145 pounds.

Kevin Belingon and Stephen Loman hope to make Team Lakay teammates proud at ONE on Prime Video 4

Kevin Belingon has already passed the torch to his brother-in-arms and fellow bantamweight contender Stephen Loman.

Given his familiarity with Loman’s opponent, Bibiano Fernandes, ‘The Silencer’ has been providing his teammate with all the advice he needs heading into the biggest fight of his career.

Belingon, after all, figured in four heated wars against the Brazilian legend.

Loman is currently ranked No.5 in the division, and a victory over No.3-ranked contender and former divisional king Fernandes will put him closer to a world title shot for the vacant bantamweight throne.

Certainly, having a calming presence like Belingon by his side in Singapore will be a huge boost for ‘The Sniper’. And of course, Loman would also no doubt love to see Belingon have his hand raised as well at ONE on Prime Video 4.
