Islam Makhachev was left stunned after finding out Demetrious Johnson is not allowed to enter the UFC Performance Institute without an active UFC fighter. 'Mighty Mouse' competed in the octagon from 2011 until 2018, accruing several records, including the most consecutive UFC title defenses ever (11).

Despite this, Johnson stated that he will not be permitted to enter the UFC PI in Las Vegas without an active UFC fighter. His admission came during a recent podcast episode with Makhachev, who could not believe the former champion's revelation.

The lightweight king said this:

"No man, if you want to go, they're gonna say, 'Welcome, legend!'"

Johnson replied with:

"They'll be like, 'Sir, you're not on the roster. You can't be here right now. Get the f**k out.'"

Makhachev then said:

"Khabib can go [whenever he wants]... I don't agree. You have more [achievements]. Eleven times you defended the belt. You can come [kick] open the door with your legs and come inside... The head of the UFC PI, Forrest Griffin, I think he's your friend."

Ali Abdelaziz shares harrowing details about life as Islam Makhachev's training partner

Islam Makhachev is less than two weeks away from defending his lightweight title against Arman Tsarukyan at UFC 311. Should he defeat the challenger, Makhachev will make history as the first fighter to defend the 155-pound title four times.

With many of his teammates and coaches referring to the lightweight king as "Khabib 2.0", there is much mystique surrounding just how good the 33-year-old is in the training room.

Ahead of his upcoming clash with Tsarukyan, Makhachev's manager, Ali Abdelaziz, shared some terrifying details about the experiences of the champion's training partners.

During a recent interview with MMA Junkie, Abdelaziz said this:

"Listen, we have to give his training partners days off from training for them to be ready for sparring day. Seriously. We have to help guys emotionally... I grappled with him the other day and I was like, 'What the hell am I doing?' I can hold my own against anybody in grappling, somebody my size... But I felt like I was a little kid playing with a bear. This is how I felt."
