Khabib Nurmagomedov's coach, Javier Mendez, has demanded a charitable donation be made from the airline that recently forced 'The Eagle' off of a plane.

Nurmagomedov recently made headlines when a video of him being escorted off a Frontier Airlines flight went viral. The former UFC champion was sitting in the emergency exit row of the plane but was asked to switch seats by the crew. Despite the 36-year-old being initially cleared to sit there and being fluent in English, the staff expressed discomfort, later calling security to have Nurmagomedov removed from the flight.

Following the incident, Khabib Nurmagomedov took to social media to explain his side of the story, stating that he believes the staff were rude from the beginning, leaving him to question whether or not the crew's actions had racial or xenophobic bias.

Javier Mendez weighed in on the incident during a recent interview with Submission Radio. Mendez called for a charitable donation by the airline as he is certain that Nurmagomedov was racially profiled. He said:

"They racially profiled him [Khabib]. One million percent. There's no way you can look at that video [and think differently]...I looked at the video and said 'Ahh, this is what they're doing, they racially profiled him because he's wearing a hoodie'. You know why he's wearing a hoodie? Because he's a super-famous athlete and didn't want to be recognized...They [Frontier Airlines] should be held accountable and I feel they should donate money to the victims of the Los Angeles fires."
