Khabib Nurmagomedov's manager and close friend Ali Abdelaziz recently asserted that one fighter on the UFC roster is capable of breaking Nurmagomedov's undefeated record. In addition, Abdelaziz expressed his admiration for the individual, stating how good he is.
The person in question is the former lightweight champion's cousin Umar Nurmagomedov, who boasts an undefeated record of 18-0. In an interview with MMA Junkie, Abdelaziz praised Umar and expressed his conviction that he would eventually overtake Khabib:
''There’s no doubt in my mind Umar will be a champion at 135 pounds, and I believe Umar is going to be a champion for a long time. I think Umar is the only guy who can really challenge Khabib’s record. He can retire undefeated, 29-0, 30-0. Of course he has a tough opponent, but I believe Umar is better everywhere.”
Abdelaziz went on to say that Umar had accepted all of the matchups offered to him by the promotion:

''He was offered Merab in Madison Square Garden and he said yes. He was offered Merab in December and he said yes. He was offered Dec. 14, Song Yadong, he said yes. He was offered in January Song Yadong and he said yes. After that, the UFC came and said, ‘Merab, Jan. 18,’ and he said yes. He’s been saying yes to everybody. He was willing to fight ranked, not ranked. He just wanted to fight.”

In his recent octagon outing at UFC Abu Dhabi last year, Umar faced Cory Sandhagen and secured a unanimous decision win. He is now set to challenge Merab Dvalishvili for the bantamweight title in the co-main event of UFC 311 and will also be joined by 'The Eagle'.
When Umar Nurmagomedov disclosed what Khabib Nurmagomedov told him during the Cory Sandhagen bout
Khabib Nurmagomedov walked Umar Nurmagomedov out for his title eliminator bout with Cory Sandhagen at UFC Abu Dhabi last year. Sandhagen was unable to deliver any serious damage as Umar won by unanimous decision after five rounds of action.
During the press conference, Umar expressed his displeasure with his performance and revealed what the former champion advised him during the fight.
''I'm not happy. It was good performance on the striking but if you are talking about grappling, how I control him, it was not good... He [Khabib] said, 'Now beginning champion rounds. You have to be strong. Don't show weakness.'''
