Alex Pereira is gearing up to face Khalil Rountree Jr. in a light heavyweight title fight at UFC 307 next month, and it appears the Brazilian has shaved his head once again as the fight date inches closer.
It's no secret that Pereira habitually shaves his head before fights and has done so on several occasions in the past. The reigning light heavyweight champion once explained that he does so to look more menacing and fight-ready to his opponent and the fans.
Unsurprisingly, Pereira has gone bald again ahead of his next title defense on Oct.6 in Salt Lake City, Utah. In a recent Instagram Story, 'Poatan' showed off his barber clipping his hair away and even posted a selfie afterward.
After @ChampRDS reposted Pereira's posts on X, fans took to the tweet's comments section to express their thoughts.

When Alex Pereira explained shaving his head before fights
Earlier this year, Alex Pereira explained why he shaved his head before fights. Pereira was preparing for his rematch against Jiri Prochazka at UFC 303 in June and followed the tradition of going bald before his bouts.
In episode four of the UFC 303 Embedded vlog series on YouTube, the Brazilian outlined that it helped showcase his persona and intimidate his opponents. Outlining that he needed to be ready for war before every bout, he said:
"I'm going to have the photo shoot tomorrow. That's why I'm having my hair cut today. With this hair, I look like a good guy. It doesn't work. It's good now. They shaved my head. Now they applied a face mask, to make my skin look better, and so I can look good on TV. I need to be ready for war. Chama."
