Khamzat Chimaev moves up in the UFC rankings following his performance at UFC 308
At UFC 308, which took place at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates on Oct. 26, Khamzat delivered one of the best performances of the year in the co-main event against former middleweight champion Robert Whittaker.
‘Borz’ submitted the Australian in the first round, handing him his first-ever submission loss in the UFC. This spectacular performance has taken Chimaev to the top of the middleweight rankings.
Chimaev has made a huge leap in the rankings, and now occupies the No. 3 position at 185 pounds. The only fighters ranked above him are former middleweight champions Israel Adesanya and Sean Strickland, along with reigning middleweight champion, Dricus du Plessis.
