Even after Darren Till left the UFC in February last year, Khamzat Chimaev and Till still have a close bond. But Chimaev recently took a humorous jab at Till, claiming that the former UFC fighter's daily use of chocolate was the cause of 'Borz's' prior weight miss.
Till struggled inside the octagon and lost five of his previous six fights, prompting him to leave the promotion. Despite facing challenges, he maintained a strong friendship with Chimaev. In his final years in the UFC, the Brit even chose to train with the 30-year-old at the Allstar Training Center in Stockholm, Sweden.
In a recent X space hosted by Till, he was joined by Chimaev, who fired some friendly shots at the 31-year-old. The rising middleweight contender asserted that before meeting Till, he had never missed weight. 'Borz' said:
''Before I met you, I never missed weight. Because you eat everyday chocolate brother, I couldn’t stop as well...You don't have discipline bro, that's why you're not close to me now. Now you're in Liverpool...You drink beer everyday man.''

Robert Whittaker speaks on Khamzat Chimaev's transition to middleweight
Khamzat Chimaev's middleweight debut against Kamaru Usman was a fiercely contested bout. Many felt that Usman had either won a split decision or done enough to force a draw, despite Chimaev's victory by majority decision.
In a recent interview with Submission Radio, Robert Whittaker expressed his thoughts on Chimaev moving up to middleweight, saying:
''I feel like he's [Chimaev] always been a real middleweight and just like really suffers to get down to welterweight so I think he'll do fine...we'll see hopefully it's an advantage in my court but we don't know.''
