A former UFC champion recently predicted that Khamzat Chimaev will accomplish one of his major career goals in 2025. He also mentioned that Chimaev's prowess had eliminated the doubts about his capabilities.
Chimaev won his last encounter at UFC 308 against Robert Whittaker in dominant fashion. He played according to his strength and shot for a takedown early in the fight. Whittaker failed to defend himself from it, which eventually caused Chimaev to gain a top mount on him. 'Borz' finished the fight within a few more seconds with a vicious face crank that misaligned three of Whittaker's lower incisors from his gums.
Chimaev's domination over Whittaker had the former UFC champion Michael Bisping predicting a successful 2025 for Chimaev. 'The Count' opined that Chimaev's goal of becoming a UFC champion would come true in the forthcoming year. Bisping said:

"Khamzat Chimaev squeezed his [Robert Whittaker] teeth out last time, and yeah, I'm gonna have to say Khamzat [will become a UFC champion in 2025]. Dricus [Du Plessis] is a tremendous champion. I think him and Sean [Strickland] are going to have another close fight [at UFC 312]. But regardless, when Khamzat gets his chance, he'll be victorious."

Bisping added:
"Look what he did to Whittaker. I'll never underestimate that man again."

Robert Whittaker provided his take on the rumors about Khamzat Chimaev's next fight
Currently, a rumor about Khamzat Chimaev has been circling the UFC community. It says that Chimaev might go up another weight class to fight Alex Pereira next. But no official announcement about the confirmation of the fight has arrived as of to date.
However, several noteworthy MMA world personalities have provided their opinions about this potential encounter. The list also includes Chimaev's previous rival, Robert Whittaker. In a recent episode of the MMArcade podcast, Whittaker opined that Chimaev would also gain an "easy" victory over Pereira if they ever meet inside the octagon.
"Oh, easily Chimaev there...Chimaev will get the takedown. He is good at what he does. He plays into [according to] his strength."
