Kana Morimoto hopes to build her brand in ONE Championship as the newest threat in the atomweight division.

The former K1 champion is eager to begin her journey on the global stage after accomplishing everything she could in her homeland of Japan. The next step was obvious to her, as it was to her predecessors, like Japanese superstars Takeru Segawa and Masaaki Noiri.

But unlike her fellow compatriots, Morimoto aims to own her debut with a smashing KO.

She told Nick Atkin's ONE Championship News:

Although it's not official yet, Kana Morimoto could potentially appear on the December card at ONE Fight Night 26.

With no opponent yet, the 32-year-old has her eye on some potential matches, including one with kickboxing superstar Anissa Meksen and ONE atomweight kickboxing world champion 'The Queen' Phetjeeja Lukjaoporongtom.

Kana Morimoto expresses gratitude to ONE Championship fans after releasing an Instagram photo of her training online

As mentioned above, Kana Morimoto is ultra excited to make her ONE debut on the world stage. Remarkably, she wasted no time getting into the gym these past few months, knowing that Chatri Sityodtong would come calling at any moment.

To the surprise of many, KANA has joined Superbon's training facility in Bangkok to learn from the best kickboxers on the planet. At the end of the day, to be considered the best, you have to train like a champion.

On her Instagram page, she released a photo that aptly represents her determination to beat the odds.

"Gratitude. Thank you for your support. I will get ready."
