Reigning ONE lightweight submission grappling world champion Kade Ruotolo has swept his first two MMA matches in 2024, after submitting both Blake Cooper and Ahmed Mujtaba.
Ruotolo's striking game is constantly improving and he displayed it during those MMA outings. Recently, ONE Championship posted a few clips of the work he has been putting in, captioning the Instagram post:

In the video, the Brazilian jiu-jitsu superstar was seen hitting the pads with famed striking coach Tyler Wombles and practicing his combinations.
This hyped up the fans and users @never_en0ugh_2016, @minglermangler, @coach.steeeve, @brendan_.fraser, and @sundance_kid92 lauded Ruotolo for his work ethic, as they commented:

Aside from those highlight-reel finishes in MMA, Kade Ruotolo also has six victories in submission grappling including two finishes alongside multiple successful world title defenses.

The Atos athlete gave credit to his team and his twin brother Tye for helping him transform into the fighter that he currently is, especially his transition from submission grappling to MMA.
According to the 21-year-old phenom, they are giving him all the confidence in the world to let go of his hands, as he stated during the ONE 169 press conference:
"First of all, props to God, as well as my coaches, I really wouldn't have been able to do this without my coaches, Tyler Wombles, Eric Paulson, and my brother. They're giving me so much confidence on the feet, and changing me as a fighter every single day."
