King of the Cage founder Terry Trebilcock recently praised Urijah Faber and spoke highly of his tenure with the promotion. Trebilcock noted that the eventual UFC Hall of Famer showcased his incredible potential and put the MMA world on notice while representing his promotions.

'The California Kid' had a lengthy tenure with Trebilcock's promotions as he started with Gladiator Challenge before moving to King of the Cage. Faber was one of the most influential fighters for the smaller weight divisions and went on to WEC, where he became the featherweight champion. After the promotion merged with the UFC, he remained a fixture in the title picture and was later inducted into their Hall of Fame after his retirement.

During his appearance on Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson's JAXXON PODCAST, the King of the Cage founder praised 'The California Kid' for his fighting style and skillset. Trebilcock mentioned that Faber overcame all his top competition and claimed he was the top fighter in the world in his weight division:

"Urijah Faber was a monster. We had him for a long time, maybe four or five years, when I thought he was truly the best in the world. I put him against Hiroyuki Abe, who was the top judo guy at that weight class...And just destroyed him. And then he fought Bibiano Fernandes, who a lot of people thought was gonna be the next best in the world. He almost got submitted...caught him with an elbow...split [Fernandes] wide open."

How long did Urijah Faber compete for Terry Trebilcock's promotions?

Urijah Faber had a long and very successful tenure competing for promotions run by Terry Trebilcock.

'The California Kid' began his career in Gladiator Challenge (GC), which Trebilcock ran as a feeder promotion, and then transitioned to King of the Cage. Faber spent the first three years of his career primarily in Gladiator Challenge and King of the Cage and even took one-off fights while he was competing in WEC.

What made Faber's tenure more memorable was that he at one point held the GC and King of the Cage bantamweight and WEC featherweight championships simultaneously.
