Rising prospect Kongthoranee Sor Sommai believes a win over Superlek Kiatmoo9 will put him into the ONE flyweight Muay Thai world title picture.
Sitting on an impressive 8-1 record with seven-straight victories, Kongthoranee will face his toughest test yet on Friday, June 28.
Returning to the iconic Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, the 27-year-old Thai will square off with 'The Kicking Machine' in a highly anticipated co-main event clash at ONE Friday Fights 68.

With Superlek holding strong as the No.1-ranked contender in the flyweight Muay Thai division, the fight will likely come with some serious title implications —particularly for Kongthoranee, who could thrust himself into the division's top-five with what would undoubtedly be the biggest win of his combat sports career:
"If I get the victory this Friday, I want people to know me more and I’m one of the athletes that want to have a title shot in the future," he said during the ONE Friday Fights 68 virtual press conference. "And I want to give my best performance this Friday."
Kongthoranee is in for a tough test against one of the P4P best strikers in the world
Of course, bagging a win over one of the best pound-for-pound strikers in the sport will be no easy task.
Reigning as the ONE flyweight kickboxing world champion, Superlek has scored wins over some of the biggest names in the game, including Panpayak Jitmuangnon, Tagir Khalilov, and Danial Williams.
However, his last two wins inside the circle are what make Superlek truly stand out from the rest of the pack.
Squaring off with 'The Iron Man' Rodtang at ONE Friday Fights 34 in September, Superlek earned a unanimous decision victory in a fight hailed as the greatest Muay Thai clash of the last 50 years.
He followed that up with a stellar five-round performance against Japanese kickboxing icon Takeru Segawa at ONE 165 in Tokyo, Japan.
Will Superlek add another impressive victory to his resume, or will Kongthoranee secure his biggest win yet and set the stage for a future title opportunity?
