Wayne Bridge has pulled out of the KSI fight, which was scheduled for March 29. The YouTuber is left with an opponent but has received a call-out from an ex-UFC star.

Bridge has pulled out of the bout after KSI taunted him about his ex-girlfriend Vanessa Perroncel's alleged affair with English professional center-back John Terry.

Meanwhile, a netizen on X has urged former UFC star Derek Brunson to contact Mams Taylor, the co-president of Misfifts Boxing, as KSI needs a new opponent. Brunson replied:

"I’m no walk over. Would be too tough for KSI"

In another tweet, the former UFC middleweight wrote:

"They both see my message. KSI wants no part of me !"

Brunson last fought Ray Cooper III in 2023, winning via unanimous decision. Before that, he had been signed to the UFC since 2012.

Wayne Bridge believes KSI "crossed a line"

Following Wayne Bridge’s withdrawal from his boxing match because of the YouTuber’s inappropriate comments, the former England footballer had this to say on Instagram:

“I’m sure a lot of you have seen what happened on Saturday night at the Misfits Boxing event. Firstly, I think it’s important that I explain my reason for accepting the fight. I always like to challenge myself. This felt like a good opportunity to go up against an interesting opponent on a big stage."

He added:

“I have always loved boxing as part of my everyday training routine. I was fully prepared to train hard and have some fun. Of course, I expected to face some criticism, but I feel like what was said on Saturday crossed a line."

In his statement, Bridge also stated that his children, like many others, look up to the CEO of Misfits Boxing as a role model. So, he must one day look back and realize his mistakes.

Regarding his plans going forward, the former left-back stated that something exciting is coming in 2025.
