Kwon Won Il is grateful to Jonathan Haggerty for proving that Fabricio Andrade is human just like the rest of us.
'The General' humbled 'Wonder Boy' at ONE Fight Night 16 back in 2023, knocking out the Brazilian to claim the then-vacant bantamweight kickboxing world title.
Kwon certainly studied that match extensively since it exposed several flaws in Andrade's game, particularly in his striking defense.
'Pretty Boy' will look to emulate Haggerty's feat when he challenges the bantamweight MMA world champion this Friday at ONE 170.

Since the British bomber was able to find Andrade's chin, Kwon Won Il believes Andrade is no longer as untouchable as he once seemed.
The P-Boy MMA affiliate shared in a Sportskeeda MMA Exclusive:
"I saw him go down with a punch against another fighter. It gave me confidence that the same thing would happen to him with my punch."
Apart from his always entertaining post-fight interviews, Kwon Won Il became an instant fan-favorite for his riveting knockout power.
The South Korean slugger certainly aims to please, with all his nine victories in ONE coming by way of scintillating finishes.
It appears Kwon's arsenal has grown more lethal as of late, evidenced when he took out tough opponents Mark Abelardo, Artem Belakh, and Shinechagtga Zoltsetseg to secure a rematch with Andrade.
Fabricio Andrade confident he'll reassert mastery over Kwon Won Il
Kwon Won Il's desire to get even is one of his biggest motivations heading into ONE 170.
Fabricio Andrade viciously knocked him out with a sickening liver kick at ONE 158 back in 2022, which ultimately sparked his bantamweight MMA world title run.
While 'Pretty Boy' is on a warpath to claim 26 pounds of gold, the champ remains confident he'll once again have the challenger's number this Friday.
'Wonder Boy' told Sportskeeda MMA:
"I want to see how it goes and I’m very confident I’ll eventually find a hole and finish the fight later on," he said.
ONE 170 will emanate from Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand on Jan. 24. The full event will air live in Asian Primetime via watchonefc.com.
