Lani Daniels looks to defend her IBF women's light heavyweight boxing world title for the first time against Bolatito Oluwole.
In 2019, Daniels suffered a massive setback in her professional boxing career due to a three-fight span featuring one loss and two draws. The New Zealand-born fighter decided to hit the reset button and take two and a half years away from competition to evolve her skills mentally and physically.
Once she returned, Daniels started building herself up with three consecutive wins against less experienced fighters. In May 2023, she defeated Alrie Meleisea for the vacant IBF women's heavyweight world title. Three months later, Daniels defended her throne against Razel Mohammed before moving down to light heavyweight.
Dec. 2, 2023, represented a special moment in Daniels' career, as she took out Desley Robinson by majority decision for the vacant IBF light heavyweight world title. The 36-year-old now looks to defend her throne for the first time.
