In an interesting interaction, Laura Sanko took to Instagram to thank Sean Strickland for his praise.
Strickland, speaking in an interview had a lot of positive things to say about the UFC's first female color commentator. The middleweight champ in a characteristically expletive-laden statement, said the following:
"I wanna give another shoutout to Mrs.Sanko. Sanko knows a lot about f**king fighting. That s**t is kinda funny dude like you see Sanko, you know, she's pretty fine. I'm like uh, how did you get here, cuz you know, I'm a f**king guy, I'm an a**hole. But anyways, I was watching her commentate a fight. I was watching her commentate a fight, bro, she was giving way better advice to the corner. I almost wanted to yell at the corner hey shut the f**k up and listen to Laura."
Hilariously, Sanko also played into Strickland's persona and sense of humor with her response. She said:

Check out Laura Sanko's story:
Sean Strickland has expressed some rather conservative opinions on the role of women in society, and Sanko hilariously expressed her ability to fit into Strickland's perception of what a woman's role is.
Dana White also previously heaped praise on Laura Sanko
Earlier this year, Dana White, speaking at a post-event press conference, also lauded Sanko for her passion for the sport of MMA. The UFC boss said:
"I say this all the time. The key to being successful in life is knowing what you wanna do. Once you know exactly who you are, and what you wanna do, you get up and you grind. She is the perfect example of that. What she has done in such a short amount of time is amazing. She is so talented."
White went on to detail an anecdote, where Daniel Cormier, who was covering his first DWCS (Dana White's Contender Series) event, wasn't "as prepared" as he should have been. At the time, Sanko, who was also working the event, was "crushing" Cormier, according to the UFC boss.
