American MMA prospect Lea Bivins recently told fans what they can expect to see from her when she competes at ONE on Prime Video 3.
There’s plenty of intrigue surrounding Lea Bivins this week since she’s relatively unknown on the MMA circuit. Hoping to clear up the mystery, ‘First Moon’ revealed some of her key strengths that will help secure a victory over her Dutch opponent, Noelle Grandjean.
In an interview with Tom Taylor from SCMP MMA, Bivins said:

“I would definitely say my jiu-jitsu and grappling is one of my best skills, if not the best skill. I’m a purple belt so I do hold that. I’ve wrestled for years, I have all-Americans, multiple state champion in California for wrestling, so obviously my wrestling is another great aspect. To be able to get them to the ground fast and to finish faster for me is very good for me.”
On paper, Lea Bivins looks very promising. She’s got an impressive group of teammates and coaches from House of Moons backing her up as she adapts to her new home at ONE Championship.
Another interesting fact is her close ties to the Lee family. She’s often been invited to train at their home gym in Hawaii to spar with her former Youth Pankration teammate, Victoria Lee.
Noelle Grandjean, on the other hand, is an exceptional judoka and Muay Thai striker. Similar to Bivins, the Dutch striker also comes from a family of martial artists and is well represented by the prestigious Tiger Muay Thai gym in Thailand.
ONE on Prime Video 3 will mark both women's promotional debuts. With that said, it’s going to be interesting to see how well Lea Bivins’ high-level grappling and wrestling compare with Grandjean’s judo.

Lea Bivins doesn’t mind a quick exit with a submission, but wants to highlight her best striking instead
There’s more to Lea Bivins than meets the eye. She's also added striking to her list of weapons ahead of her atomweight matchup with Noelle Grandjean.
Lea Bivins loves to box and she wants to show the world how well she utlizes that skill to beat opponents. Already having a reach and height advantage, ‘First Moon’ believes she can use her range to cause some real damage to her rival.
In the same interview, Bivins expressed her excitement to use a bit of her striking in her professional debut:
“But I do want to showcase some of my striking a little bit more because it is as good as my grappling and wrestling. In USFL and IMAF, we’re not able to punch to the face so I couldn’t showcase too much striking as I would want, so I’m excited to be able to show that on a pro level.”
On October 21, watch as Bivins puts her all-encompassing skillset to the test against Noelle Grandjean in an epic battle of styles at ONE on Prime Video 3.
