Many young athletes dream of training with living legends. ONE flyweight Muay Thai star Johan Ghazali recently checked one name off his bucket list: Thai great Superbon.

Everything that the ONE featherweight kickboxing world champion taught 'Jojo' will surely come in handy when he battles Colombian sensation Johan Estupinan on the undercard of ONE 170 on Friday, Jan. 24.

Speaking exclusively to Sportskeeda MMA, the Malaysian-American phenom was giddy at the mere thought of flaunting his new skills inside the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand. He said:

"Of course, I'm constantly evolving. Come January 24, you will see an improved and differently-styled Johan Ghazali. And yeah, I've been learning Superbon's trademark technique. The best way to perfect it is to learn from the master himself. So you'll definitely see some surprises from me in this fight."

Ghazali busting out Superbon's world-famous head kicks against the slightly taller 'Panda Kick' would be an intriguing sight as a well-timed strike could give him his sixth knockout win.

In that same vein, Ghazali will need to be wary of Estupinan's hands as the JC Fernandez and Team CSK affiliate possesses one-shot knockout power of his own.

Johan Ghazali shares extra motivation heading into Johan Estupinan showdown

Aside from fighting for a potential top-five spot in the 135-pound Muay Thai rankings, Johan Ghazali is eager to throwdown with Johan Estupinan because the latter defeated the former's older brother, Elias Ghazali, during the 2021 IFMA World Championship.

The Rentap Muay Thai Gym product said as much in an interview with the promotion:

"I want to get revenge for my brother since Estupinan beat him a couple years ago. This would be very good for my name and it will put me en route to being top five ranked in the flyweight division."
