UFC lightweight Beneil Dariush is without a fight following the UFC 311 main event shake-up, with Arman Tsarukyan pulling out of the headliner. Tsarukyan was slated to challenge Islam Makhachev for the UFC lightweight belt in a rematch but was forced out of the fight due to an injury.
Tsarukyan was replaced by Dariush's original UFC 311 opponent, Renato Moicano, who accepted the fight without hesitation, leaving the Iranian-American 155-pounder without an opponent.
After sorting out the main event and removing Dariush from the card, UFC CEO Dana White promised to take care of the No.9-ranked lightweight. A teammate of Moicano and former Dariush opponent, Mateusz Gamrot, tweeted to his American Top Team cohort and then challenged his former foe:
"I just got off the plane in Florida and I see this news... LFG @moicanoufc 🔥@beneildariush give me a few weeks and let's dance again"

Dariush's most recent win was against Gamrot. He faced the Polish standout at UFC 280 in 2022, winning the bout via a unanimous decision. After the fight, Gamrot won three in a row before losing to Dan Hooker.
Beneil Dariush on getting left out of UFC 311: "I believe God has something better for me"
Despite the heartbreaking news of losing a fight just a day before the fight happens, Dariush seems to be in good spirits. After Dana White ensured he'd be taken care of, the Kings MMA athlete took to Instagram to formally address the situation.
Dariush wrote:
"Family and friends unfortunately I’m not fighting tomorrow. Due to changes in the card I been left as the odd man out. I appreciate @danawhite and @ufc for giving me an opportunity to fight in my home town and taking care of me even though I’m not fighting. I believe God has something better for me and I will wait faithfully to see how it unfolds."
Dariush is on a two-fight skid, having lost to Charles Oliveira and Arman Tsarukyan by knockout. He'll be looking to return to winning ways later this year.
