Joe Rogan has put forth a definitive assertion regarding what he feels is the most reliable and popular news portal right now. Netizens soon chimed in with their reactions to Rogan's declaration.
Taking to the social media platform, X (formerly known as Twitter), Rogan re-tweeted a video of himself from his JRE (Joe Rogan Experience) podcast wherein he heaped praise on X. Rogan suggested that there's "this giant resistance right now" to the idea that X has become the world's top news source.
The veteran UFC color commentator has long been a vocal critic of 'old media'/'legacy media' such as traditional newspapers, television, radio, and other mainstream media outlets. Rogan alleged that they wronged him and many others way too many times.
The podcast mogul even referenced The New York Times' recent polarizing reportage of the purported dichotomy in the 'Froot Loops' (aka 'Fruit Loops') breakfast cereal brand's ingredients in Canada and the United States of America.

Rogan opined that no one believes the mainstream media anymore because of their allegedly biased reporting, adding that they instead opt for X. He highlighted the 'Community Notes' system on X, whereby the platform's users chime in to notify others about the correctness or incorrectness of a given piece of information.
Well, alongside the re-tweeted video of himself lauding X, Rogan also attached the following statement:
"X is the most reliable, and most popular news source in the world."
Fans soon weighed in on Joe Rogan's take, with some seconding his views. One X user made an allusion to the considerable influence Rogan wields in the pop culture realm today and thanked him for sharing the assertion with his listeners. Another X user tweeted:
"Everyone should cancel their TV subscriptions and just use X. Let the legacy media die"
Some commenters insinuated that the mainstream media is as good as done. One observer tweeted:
"That's why the media wants X gone"
Alternatively, some netizens implied that there ought to be a balance in the news media realm, warning that there should be multiple sources of reliable and free media rather than overreliance on X. A fan jibed at Rogan's opinion and wrote:
"Yes. The bar is pretty low"
Some observers signaled that X too has its own biases, while another tweeted:
"Not really-- too much hype"
One fan concurred with Rogan and tweeted:
"True. Legacy media is seething."

Furthermore, Rogan has time and again hailed Musk for risking his own wealth to buy X and protect free speech in the 'new media' realm, especially online.
