“Let them come in with offers” - Nico Carrillo open to taking wild superfights after winning ONE gold

Second-ranked ONE Championship bantamweight Muay Thai contender 'King of the North' Nico Carrillo of Scotland is excited for what the future holds but admits, he's just focused on winning the world title this weekend.

ONE Championship is known for throwing its best fighters in specialty crossover fights that garner massive fan attention, and Carrillo expects the offers to roll around soon once he's able to capture the gold.

However, the 26-year-old Deachkalek Muay Thai Academy standout says he won't entertain any thoughts that could derail his focus on the task at hand.

'King of the North' told Sports Illustrated in a recent interview:

"If I got offered [crossover fights], let them come in with offers. I’m not focused on it. My focus is gold, and being the champion at my weight. That is all my focus is on right now. When that comes, we can chat about other things. Until then, I can’t speak about anything else."

Needless to say, Carrillo is laser-focused on beating his upcoming foe and making history by capturing a piece of the bantamweight throne. It all comes to a head at ONE 170 this weekend.
